sept 3 is fast approaching.. if you are around the kamloops area please make sure you come to the big launch party!! its going to be so much fun.. im plainning on making this my biggest stage show ever to kick off the new album!! hoping to have a 7 piece band (keep in mind most shows are solo or only a 3 piece band) its gonna be nuts!!

thought id drop everyone an update!!

my new album ELEPHANT SHOES is coming along very nicely!! im very excited to share with everyone!! in fact its killing me that i cant now!!

had a hard time doing some vocals for a few days as my allergies have been aweful! but with the help of some meds we're back on track!!

well not only is "i am alive" one of the new tracks to soon be on my newest album titled "Elephant Shoes" but i too am feeling so alive!! in week two now of the studio and we've been putting in long days and huge hours!! The foundations for the songs are all pretty much laid down now.. now its the fun part where we get to experiment and try all kinds of different things for these songs!! the songs will truly come alive this week.. and if all goes as planned.. we'll be in the mixing process be end of next week! things are flying!!

 so i dont actually know how to fully explain this story to you without actually speaking it.. but i will do my best .. (i just cant see this being as funny as if i were there to tell the story)

anyways, im in kelowna right now and suddenly came up with a bad cause of heart burn.. so i decided to pull over at a convience store in what i thought was a nice neighbourhood. Upon entering there was a nice lady with a big smile on her face to greet me.. as i walked in the store i instantly broke out in  a soft laughter to myself as there were two stange fellows in the store buying slushes. The reason i laughed was because it was 10:30 at night and one of the men had no shoes, no shirt, and ripped jean shorts! keep in mind that the sun was shinning today but it was still not warm enough for shorts and a tshirt.. let alone it being warm enough for no shirt or shoes at 10:30 at night .. anyways i walked up and down the isles looking for some tums but could not find any.. finally i saw some pepto bismol.. i grabbed it and started walking to the clerk.. as i was doing this i noticed the second fellow opening and closing the door about 15 times.. just standing there.. and with each time he opened the door it would "chime".. finally the shirtless man and his door opening buddy left.. as i put the pepto on the counter the lady at the dest had a big smile on her face and the two of us shared a brieff moment of homor as to what had just happened.. anyways, ive never used pepto before and for some reason was very embarrased of purchasing it.. and it was just a tiny bottle. it felt like i was having an emergency and needed some help asap with the pepto!! IN the mean time as the lady asks me "is that all" my cell phone starts ringin.. now here is where i really start cracking up.. i had forgotten that i had changed my ring tone into a farting sound.. and not a normal fart.. a really bad one..a sound that even pepto bismol could not currect.. 

so while the clerks head is down and she is ringin in my pepto bismol.. she hears this 'farting sound' and without looking at me says "oh my"!! hahah i think she thought i was the one makign the sounds while in fact it was my cell phone! anyways, at this point i was actually laughing out loud. i paid the lady. left the store .. and upon returning to my vehicle.. the nice lady that had smiled to me earlier.. the man with no shirt, no shoes, and the man who enjoys opening doors were all out in the parking lot having a dance party!!

 

hahah what  night!

oh finally the sun is starting to shine!! i cant wait to pull out the speedo.. i mean.. to put on some shorts and flip flops and get some color to my pastey skin!

yikes!! 28 hours of driving in four days.. and 12 hours of playing and singing gutiar in 3 days!!! i need a bum massage!!! hahah wow im exhaused but so ever grateful the opportunities to play shows and even more so for all of you that came out to support me!! thanks again!! and see you soon!!!

holy man!! so im in the grandest prairie of them all.. GP alberta.. took me 12.5 hours to drive here.. i had to stop at a future shop and buy my second sirius sat radio (thanks to the poor service of sirius might i add) because the trip was sooo long!! but im glad i bought it cause it sure help'd time pass! ended up listening to that billy bob thorton interview on howard sterns show!! what is bob up to? hes a total goof and only trying to get some type of publicitiy..

anyways, another show tonight in grande prairie then off to banff bright an early for another 8 hour drive so i can play at the rose & crown on sunday!

well i just wanted to take this time to tell everyone i just had my one year anniversary of playing music full time!! its been a great journey and look forward to a life time full of new songs and old ones too! just wanted to thank everyone for their support. for coming to shows. for buying the cds. for telling their friends about me!!

and i especially need to thank my family.. you have all been so amazing and so supportive.. and extra special shout out and much love to brother brian and jason, as well as my sister in law alley-cat and my bros lady Sarah! thanks so much everyone!

i havent been sick in years it seems.. and now here i am on the road and i am sick!! somehow i was able to fight through it for the saskatoon show.. which was unreal.. so thank you stoon!! but now the fever is gone and the throat is killing me.. hopefully im back to normal for edmontons show on thursday!!

so i was lucky enough to be asked to come to a jr high assembly in grande praire and to talk to them about goals, dreams, and their future.. it was the most amazing experience of my life. the kids were great, all well behaved and really seemed interesting.. i was for the first time in a long time very nervous.. as i have never done anythign like this before.. and i was asked 2 days ago while driving almost 24 hours in two days.. i didnt have any time to prepare. I arrived in Grande Praire at 11pm last night , stayed up till 4am trying to firgure out what i was goin to say.. up by 7am and there i suddenly was talking in front of 150 students!
anyways, it was an amazing experience and i hope all you kids had as much as a great time as i did!

two nights ago i had the pleasure of driving in vancouver in the middle of a freak snow storm.. part of me found it very funny as most people in vancouver really dont konw how to drive in snow.. but then when i almost got side swipped i didnt find it so funny anymore.. my journey that should have lasted 1hour took me over 2.5 hours!! man that sucked! the snow sure looks "purdy" but i think im moving somewhere hot!! i also had the luxury of driving for 10.5 hours in a snow storm yesterday to calgary.. going to watch the flames game tonight and then im off on the road again to grande praire!! im hoping the roads are better tomorrow!!'
