home, sweet home!

I am so thankful, so blessed, and so fortunate to be where I am today. I am really happy! I owe all this happiness to you; my friends and my fans! Of all the days possible, April fools day marked my two year anniversary for playing music as a full time job! No joke! Who would have thunk it!?! It has been a crazy ride and with each passing day things are getting bigger and better! Obviously I have my struggles and hardships, but I must say the future looks bright and my spirits are held high!
I have been on the road a lot these past two years and I plan to be away even more in the years to come! I’ve put over 75000kms on my car in 19months! I’ve slept on a lot of hotel beds, on even more couches, and couple times in my car! I’ve played in front of thousands of people, hundreds of people, and even in front of a few people who didn’t want to hear me at all! But it has all been worth it! I get to play my guitar. I get to sing. I get to chase my dream.
This month has kind of been a cool month for me. It has been the slowest I have been since June of last year! And while I have not been able to play as much as I would like to it has been inspiring to me as well. I woke up last night in my own bed! I rolled over, checked the time, then rolled back and just lay there peacefully. I had kind of forgotten what it is like to sleep in my own bed! And let me tell you, my bed isn’t the nicest bed in the world, but does it ever feel good to sleep on! It feels good to have my pillows, my sheets, and my pictures on the wall. It feels good to be home, to have a nice cooked meal, and to spend time with my brother and his girl friend. It feels good to be alive, to be happy, and to be able to share it all with my friends and family
Although home is sweet, and it is nice to be back, I want to be on that road again. I want to play in front of new people. I want my voice and my music to be heard. I want to touch some ones heart with the strum of a chord, make some ones day with a collage of melodic words. I want to play music, love music, and live music. So that is what I shall do. I forever will chase this dream until I am no longer. Alberta, here I come
